Hi!! It’s nice to meet you virtually!
Hello! My name is Evelina; I was born in a small town, Gubin, Poland and have lived in Edmonton, Alberta, for most of my life. I believe my European background has kept my desire for exploration alive. I began this website in 2017 to keep track of and share my adventures. If I fast forward to 2022, a lot has changed and pulled me about from this site. I decided to finish my business degree, and this website fell behind the seat cushions.
Since being on the last flight home to Canada from Peru in March of 2020, I have taken a break from international travel, spent more time exploring local destinations, and picked up several cookbooks. However, during the pandemic, travel restrictions haven’t impacted my desire for creativity.
Travel will always be a part of my life, but I will also share my interests in cooking and reading. I consider myself a chatty Cathy, and once I’ve traveled to a fun spot, discovered a delectable recipe, or devoured an enjoyable book, I’m eager to share the details. Allowing myself to write about these experiences not only allows me to share them but gives me a personal reflection on their memories and the impact they’ve had on my life.
I’ve used the word “unanchored” to describe myself; I am open to investigating a multitude of interests and hope this site encourages you to do the same
Some facts about me:
- If I won, the lottery tomorrow would buy lakefront property; somewhere I can swim and read any time until the sun goes down.
- My favorite music artist is LP, she speaks to my soul.
- I love the beginning of the New Year, if someone was to tell you how the year would end up you would probably not believe them.
- I have a love-hate relationship with running. I hate getting started, but I’m addicted to the endorphins.
